The Fort Worth Herd
Georgia Cartwright The Fort Worth Herd Sep. 15, 2026

Real Texas cowhands lead a herd of legendary longhorns down East Exchange in the Stockyards at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. It’s free for all, and every detail, from the drovers’ saddles and chaps to their boots and hats, embodies authentic Texas heritage.

It's not every day you see cattle roaming the streets of a modern metropolis — unless you're in Texas' own Unexpected City.

Explore More
Jenna Audlin (Dave's granddaughter) Explore More Jan. 05, 2027

A great way to inspire your kid's love of the outdoors! The Explore More Outdoor Challenge for Kids was created for kids (and visiting kids) in and near Evergreen, Colorado as a way to learn more about our Bear Creek Watershed. Kids are encouraged to take part in any of 5 outdoor challenges, including hiking, birding, wildlife viewing, plant identification and respectful recreation. Once they complete the challenge, they can bring their activity book to the Evergreen Nature Center and receive a special stamp for each challenge completed. Complete all five and earn your "Junior Naturalist" award!
