The industry pioneer is her 33nd season covering the NFL, currently working for NBC Sports/Pro Football Talk. Williams was the first female selector for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007. She was the 24th president of the Pro Football Writers of America, and the organization’s first female leader, serving in the position during the 2009-10 NFL seasons.

In 2018, Williams’ PFWA peers voted her the first female winner of the Bill Nunn Award for a long and distinguished contribution to pro football through coverage, and her name now resides in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

The Arlington Independent School District Board of Trustees has unanimously called for a bond election to be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, for voter consideration. The proposal is based on recommendations from the community-led Capital Needs Steering Committee (CNSC) following several months of review of district facilities, programs, and enrollment trends. The Board approved the election order during its February 5 meeting.

Shady Valley Country Club in Arlington, Texas, is undergoing a transformation under new ownership by M&P Group. The renovations focus on modernizing the clubhouse with updated wall colors, new flooring, and upgraded bathrooms. Key upgrades include a welcoming lobby, an expanded member bar and grill, renovated dining areas with views of the 18th hole, and a new fitness center. 

The Arlington Police Department utilizes a Mounted Patrol Unit consisting of officers on horseback to enhance community engagement, improve visibility during special events, and aid in crowd control. These officers work on an auxiliary, voluntary basis and use specially trained horses for duties, often appearing at public events and downtown festivals
