The industry pioneer is her 31st season covering the NFL, currently working for NBC Sports/Pro Football Talk. Williams was the first female selector for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007. She was the 24th president of the Pro Football Writers of America, and the organization’s first female leader, serving in the position during the 2009-10 NFL seasons.

In 2018, Williams’ PFWA peers voted her the first female winner of the Bill Nunn Award for a long and distinguished contribution to pro football through coverage, and her name now resides in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
